NAD T-524
The Company’s first DVD/DVD-A Player featuring DivX
Following on from their celebrated T-533 DVD player, NAD announce the T-524, a fully-featured DVD player that plays DVD-Video, DVD-R, DVD-RW, VCD 2.0, and
reads JPEG files. In addition, it will also play DivX, the increasingly popular compressed video format that offers highly efficient video images without compromising video quality.
As a Progressive Scan DVD player, the T-524 boasts the very best in high-resolution video. Further supporting this video technology are 4 x 10-bit 54MHz video DACs,
widely recognised as reproducing the finest in picture detail with true blacks and vivid colours. Combined, these technologies make the T-524 the ideal companion to
today’s High Definition displays and projection systems.
The T-524 also plays DVD-Audio, which offers multi-channel and 2-channel audio at 24-bit 192kHz resolution. NAD has backed this format with its celebrated audio
‘know-how’ for some of the finest sounding digital to analogue stages and unlike
many competitive DVD-A players, the T-524 offers comprehensive Bass Management facilities for both DVD-A and Dolby Digital programs. Bass Management technology facilitates for speaker size, distance and level, which are all adjustable and accomplished in the digital domain before decoding, offering the lowest distortion and best sonic performance from the DVD-A format.
In order to allow connection to the widest range of quality monitors, LCDs and Plasma displays, the T-524 sports three video and four audio connection options
including 1 x Component video output, 1 x SCART, 1 x S-Video and 1 x Composite.
The NAD T-524 also supports CD, CD-R and CD-RW formats and will play MP3 and WMA files. It will also play back recordable DVDs including DVD-R and some
DVD+R discs, depending on the specific recorder and blank disc used. Whatever the audio format, the signal will be processed and decoded with typical NAD precision,
including separate regulated power supplies and the choice of audiophile quality parts.
Other convenient features include 100 x zoom, Frame and Market Search, Smooth Scan, Slow Motion and Repeat. And, depending on whether it is supported by DVD
Software, Multi-Angle, Multi-Sound and Multi-Subtitle.
